LoC

Yo nerds!

Look at this. An actual update from me. It’s been a while since I have had anything new to share. My current project started off as a 500 word short story, grew to be a couple of thousand words, then into novella length, and currently stands at 73,000+ words. So that’s where I have been, hiding in the corners of coffee shops, tapping away on a keyboard. That story won’t be ready to share for a short while yet. But in between writing those chapters, I have written a few palate cleanser stories.

Here, why don’t you have a gander over one of them. The seed for what became LoC came to me one day when I was listening to the radio. They were talking about assisted suicides and whether they should be made legal here in the UK. One listener who was opposed to assisted suicides called in to voice that opinion. They said, ‘Where will it end?’ and that question festered in my head. I got thinking about what would happen if assisted suicide was legal, and where would we be in just 20 years or so, specifically with the inevitable death of the NHS and privatisation of health services. And this, is what I ended up with.

I hope you enjoyed. Let me know if you did. Let me know if you didn’t. Or just come and chat with me on the socials for the lols. Anyway, I’m off to get a weekend job. Until next time, Peace and Love.

  1. First of all, *excited squeee** for riding the writing wave! Your current project sounds positively in good form (well, you sound in good form 🙂 ) and I can’t wait to see what this theme is that keeps you writing and the characters! brilliant!

As for LoC… Interesting! Really good and went in a whole different direction! As always, you managed to surprise me! Also, I’ve been trying to figure out what LoC means but… hmm…
